Eddie Bakker has shown real courage in writing a book on the end times against the background in many western churches where to attempt to preach or unpack the subject of the end times is often met with some laughter and dismissed in a period where this subject has all but disappeared from the pulpits, apart from casual references to Heaven etc. It seems to me that the Book of the Revelation of JESUS CHRIST (Rev 1.1) and the accompanying prophecies, have in many ways become covered with dust in the minds of preachers and believers, with the exception of course of some who have really done their homework to cover the whole counsel of GOD.
There cannot be a more relevant subject for both preachers and believers in this period of the World’s history where global events are fast accelerating towards a climax, and so many of the great prophecies of the Bible seem to be unfolding before our eyes. It truly is a time to heed the way the book of Revelation urges GOD’S people to read it, respect it by not adding or subtracting from it, and receiving the blessing that will ensue.
Eddie has done a thorough work including the Scripture texts to further enable the reader to get the full impact of the prophecies. He has shown serious research, dealing with controversial issues, and given some direction for the future. He has clearly separated what the Bible clearly says, and where he has offered his opinion, and possible interpretations of the prophetic passages as we move into the future of rapid changing world scenarios. This has not always been the case in past publications on the end times, leaving a trail of confusion and even conflict in its wake.
As one who has daily lived with the expectation of “snatching up” of the true believers since my teens, I highly recommend this book.
